Timothy Cheruiyot and six other athletes will represent Kenya at the Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland on Friday, August 26.
Olympic silver medalist Timothy Cheruiyot will be hoping to make amends after losing his title to Great Briton Jake Wightman in Oregon.
Joining Cheruiyot in the 1,500m race will be the World Indoor 1500m bronze medalist Abel Kipsang who missed a podium finish in Oregon and Birmingham.
Cheruiyot, a three-time champion, will be heading to the race with a personal best of 3:28.28 a time he registered at this event in 2019 where he took the honours.
With the recent poor performances by Kenyan athletes in the 3,000m steeplechase Kibiwot and Serem seek to restore the country's past glory at the track event.

In the women's 3,000m race, Margaret Chelimo is set to battle with one of the biggest names, Sifan Hassan who is the Olympic 5,000m and 10,000m champion. Chelimo will also feature in the 3000m race.
Africa's fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala is expected to miss the track events in Lausanne as the race clashed with the various championships in which he was competing.
Omanyala has so far missed the Stockholm, Doha and Paris Diamond Leagues.
The Lausanne Diamond League in Switzerland will be the twelfth stop of the Diamond League season.
According to the Diamond League schedule, the athletes will compete in 14 different disciplines.
