
17-Year-old midfielder James Kenyi Isaac joined one of America's top sports academies, from FKF National Division 2 Champions Rainbow FC.
Kenyi has been playing for Rainbow FC for two months, the 2022 FKF National Division 2 Champions.
The team led by former Harambee Stars head coach Stanely Okumbi who is the CEO, announced the deal on Thursday, September 8.

“Our player James Kenyi Isaac has joined @DMESportsAcad in Florida, USA, after a two-month stint at Rainbow FC Kenya. We wish him the best of luck in his academics and future endeavors,” FC Rainbows tweet read.
Speaking to TeamKenya.co.ke Rainbow FC Team Manger Nicholas Atulo revealed that the 17-year-old hand landed a scholarship deal.
“The deal is that, in the US he will complete his university studies for four years as he plays football which will make it easier for his development.
“The 17-year-old was scouted by the American based academy while playing in Kenya. He has been fully sponsored and the only issue we took care of was his flight tickets. The midfielder will also be playing for the academy's football team considering the scholarship was purely based on football," Atulo stated.
Atulo added that Kenyi had already arrived in Florida, USA and was set to take on the new challenge.
Kenyi joined Rainbow FC in 2022, from South Sudan based Future Stars Football Academy, signing a temporary contract for one year with the option of a professional renewal based on performance and quality.
