Marathon World Record holder Eliud Kipchoge desires to race alongside former US President Barrack Obama.
Kipchoge who was responding to a question at the press conference for the 2022 Berlin Marathon, on September 23, stated that Obama has always inspired him.

Kipchoge who is set to race on September 25, also noted that he has maintained the same training routine.
“You know every day is a challenge. The coach has been injecting some new training but all in all, we have been maintaining the same training,” he added
Kipchoge noted that to him, running was life, adding that he may not have been as successful as he is if he had chosen a different career.
He also added that as a marathon runner, one's pain is the start of their success.
“If you are a marathoner and you feel pain when running then that is where success is. All in all, I keep calm and enjoy running. I am aware that 42km is just like life which has ups and downs and you have to feel the pain on the way,” he stated.
“If you want to perform in your career you have to move and the only movement I am recommending is running. Running will make you live longer for those interested in living longer and longer,” Kipchoge stated.
On why he did not travel with his family whom he considers his inspiration, Kipchoge explained that his children could not make it as they were in school. However, they promised to watch him on TV.
