
Kenyan teenager Angella Okutoyi has pulled out of Monastir W15, an International Tennis Federation (ITF) event that was scheduled for Tunisia to focus on the upcoming tournaments to be staged in Nairobi.
Apart from Okutoyi, 211 players have also confirmed their withdrawal for the event which was slated for November.
Okutoyi was among the stars who had been entered in the main draw of the Monastir W15.

With her absence, only 53 participants are expected to take part in the women’s world tennis tour tournament.
Kenyan tennis fans will have a chance to watch Okutoyi for the first time in 9 months at the W15 ITF tournaments to be held at the Karen Country Club.
The two events which will take place between November 14 and November 27 will have a total prize money of $30,000 (approximately 3,600,000).
Okutoyi recently landed a scholarship in the United States that will allow her to study while sharpening her tennis skills.
The talented player will shift her camp to Alabama in the near future where she is expected to join Auburn University.
A number of top higher learning institutions wanted Okutoyi to join them, but she picked Auburn.
At Auburn the Kenya Open champion will be able to compete in a number of tennis tournaments in the southeast region and get a chance to gauge herself with other talented players from America.
