
Flamengo striker Pedro Dos Santos proposed to his girlfriend Fernanda Nogueira a few seconds after being included in Brazil’s 2022 FIFA World Cup squad.
The 25-year-old held hands with his loved ones as he eagerly awaited to know if he was part of the 26-member squad that would represent the South American nation in Qatar.
Immediately after the Samba Boys tactician Tite mentioned his name, Pedro was seen removing a ring from his pocket and kneeling down asking Nogueira to marry him.

The latter was taken aback by his action but accepted the proposal with a broad smile on her face.
The duo then hugged and kissed each other much to the amusement of those who were present in the room.
Pedro’s club took to social media to congratulate one of their own for the incredible milestones.
“Summoned and now engaged. Pedro asked his girlfriend Fernanda Nogueira to marry him right after the summons! Beautiful!,” read a statement from Flamengo.
Dos Santos is among the most lethal strikers in the South American leagues.
He netted 12 goals to help Flamengo lift the Copa Libertadores and in the process emerge the tournament’s top scorer.
Brazil have been pooled in Group G alongside the likes of African representatives Cameroon, Serbia and Switzerland.
The strong squad that also has Paris Saint Germain ace Neymar Junior, Liverpool’s Allison Becker and the Arsenal duo of Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli will kick start their campaign against Serbia on Thursday, November 24
