New York City Marathon winner Sharon Lokedi wore the 324 Under Armour Velociti Elite, a new racing shoe yet to be released.
Lokedi became the first Under Armour athlete to win a World Marathon Major.
The shoe she wore was only approved by World Athletics in October 2022 and was expected to be available in early 2023.
Its Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is Ksh30,425 ($250).

The shoe features a carbon-fibre plate, a two-part Pebax/supercritical midsole, and a lightweight, breathable upper.
Under Armour has seen some of its athletes leave in favour of other brands, as two years ago, it did not have a super shoe.
After the win, Lokedi’s coach Stephen Haas noted that they needed competitive footwear for major marathons and races, and the sportswear company resulted in investing in good shoes.
According to Haas, before Under Armour came in, they received few offers from shoe companies.
“I was trying to tell a lot of people internally with Under Armour we need to make this a big deal because I think she’s going to do well,” Haas stated after the race.
In what was her Marathon debut, Lokedi destroyed the New York Marathon course in a time of 2:23:23.
