The match is scheduled to take place at Kenton College in Kileleshwa, with both teams under pressure to register a win for the world tournament set for June 21 to July 1 in the USA.

Kenya will be hoping to capitalise on home ground advantage as it battles Uganda which has represented Africa in the past two world events in 2014 and 2018.

In Africa Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Rwanda, Nigeria and Ghana are the only nations that are members of the Federation of International Lacrosse.

In the recent qualifiers, Uganda received a direct ticket to the world tournament.

Lacrosse was introduced in Kenya in 2007 by Storm Trentham in collaboration with Sporting Change International and DBA Sports.

Lacrosse is a competitive sport, whereby two teams of players use long-handled, racket-like tools to catch, carry or throw a ball down the field or into the opponents’ goal.

The men's team consists of 10 players including one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three attackers with a goal counted as one point.

Uganda's squad was on Wednesday, November 16 flagged off by the country's Sports Council ahead of the do or die clash.
