Manchester City legend Sergio Kun Aguero and his son received special gifts in Argentina’s 3-0 win over Croatia on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Aguero, hung his boots due to a heart condition and could not be part of the star-studded side that is one game away from winning their first FIFA World Cup title after a long hiatus.

Aguero, who the organizers picked to hand Messi the award, was surprised when the Paris Saint Germain forward decided to give it back to him.

On the other hand, his son, Benjamin Aguero, went home with the jersey that Messi wore during the game.

“The special gift that the son of Kun Aguero took after the triumph of the Argentine national team.

“Benjamin asked his father to get him a very special memory of the Albiceleste match against Croatia,” TyC Sports, a Buenos Aires-based media house, tweeted after the game.

Benjamin is currently sharpening his football skills with the Club Tigre youth side.

Club Tigre is one of the popular clubs in the South American nation. It features in Argentina's top-flight league, the Primera Division.

Argentina will play the winner between France and Morocco in the final scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 18, at the quintessential Lusail Stadium.
