
A famed Kenyan rally driver was admitted to a Nairobi-based hospital after being allegedly stabbed during a confrontation with his girlfriend.
According to court proceedings on Tuesday, December 13, the alleged assailant, whom the law enforcement officers apprehended in their apartment, told Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi that she was portrayed as the villain despite being the victim.
The magistrate allowed journalists to cover the court proceedings but barred the media from disclosing the names of the suspect and the victim.

According to the suspect, the rally driver injured himself while he was in the process of attacking her. The woman, dressed in a hoodie, also requested the court to protect her.
The police officers handling the case, asked for the woman to be detained for two weeks since the casualty was in critical condition.
On the other hand, her legal representative claimed it was wrong to conclude that his client was the aggressor since the investigation is still at an early stage.
Nation reports that the driver's family is requesting Kenyans to donate blood to save the life of their loved one. According to the family, he is currently receiving intensive care.
The judge will make a ruling on the request by the police officers to detain the alleged perpetrator on Wednesday, December 14.
