In a past interview, Odhiambo revealed he left football and ventured into the Matatu industry where he drove the Umoja route.
During the interview, he disclosed that joining the Matatu business was his best decision.

However, despite traveling with the squad he did not feature as Kenya drew 1-1 with the Super Eagles.
While playing for Tusker FC due to lack of regular play Odhiambo was able to secure a loan move to KCB in 2014.
In his free time, Odhimabo used to drive matatus which enabled him to save some cash and purchased his own.
Mark took a break from football after playing for only one season at KCB and focused on driving matatus.
However, he later returned to the pitch joining Wazito FC in 2017 but left in 2018.
