Harambee Stars and Al Duhail striker Michael Olunga revealed that scoring goals was not his major focus.
In pre-match conference on Tuesday, January 10, Olunga noted that the club's success comes ahead of his own.
Olunga is the club's top scorer with 12 goals after 11 matches in all competitions.

“As a striker, the most important thing for me is to score goals, but the most important thing is to implement the coach’s strategy and help my team win, whether I succeed in scoring or not, and the team’s victory in every match remains our priority,” Olunga noted.
Ahead of their match against the Umm Salal, Olunga highlighted that his team must be focused to walk away with a win.
Having won 3-0 in their previous match against Al Gharafa, the 28-year-old striker expressed his joy with the team's performance despite him not scoring.
Olunga joined Al Duhail in 2021 and has gone to win the Emir Cup in 2022.
Al Duhail is without Edmilson Junior, and Olunga noted that the number 10 absence has affected the team.
Olunga added that though Edmilson has been out the squad's depth has helped with young players stepping up.
Al Duhail's next match in the Qatar Stars League will be against Umm Salal on Wednesday, January 11.
