Football Kenya Federation (FKF) launched an investigation into comments made by AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems on Sunday, February 5.
In a post-match interview after a barren draw with FKF Premier League leaders Nzoia Sugar, the Belgian manager made scathing remarks to journalists.
He also took to his socials referring to the four officials on duty as ‘clowns’.

“A Top FKF match refereed by four clowns. Fortunately, the 2 teams remained calm.,’ part of his tweet read.
This however caught the attention of the FKF which thereafter forwarded it to the disciplinary committee for the necessary action.
“The matter is before a Disciplinary chaired by Charles Njenga.
“They are looking into it and then will come up with a timeline for a decision after talking to the coach also. The ruling will probably be made within the next few days after they peruse all the evidence,” FKF CEO Barry Otieno noted.
Barry Otieno also called on the country's Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) to take up the matter as it touches on its members.
"I feel SJAK should also take the matter up," Otieno added
AFC Leopard is enjoying a good run having gone six games unbeaten in a row which has positioned the club seventh in the league standings.
