
The Ministry of Sports launched a competition to create a logo for the “TalntaHela” programme.
In a notice issued on Friday, February 17, the ministry called on creatives to design a logo with Ksh300,00 up for grabs.
It was highlighted that the government would copyright the top three logos.

“Your talent must pay you well. This exciting odyssey is lifting off the runway. Dare not be left behind. Board as early as right now!” Ababu Namwamba's statement read.
Also receiving the prize money will be the first and second runner-ups, each receiving Ksh200,000 and Ksh1000,000, respectively.
Creatives were asked to submit their staples in either jpeg or pdf format to talantahelalogo(at)kenyaculturalcentre(dot)go(dot)ke.
The submission deadline was Tuesday, February 22, 2023, at 11 am.
The competition came days after the Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba unveiled the council and committee members of the programme.
Two technical committees were created, one for Sports and the Creative Arts, chaired by veteran journalist Carol Radull and famous comedian Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill, respectively.
TalantaHela is a project by the government that seeks to monetise both the sports and the creative industries.
