The FKF Quarter final match pitting AFC Leopards and Tusker FC has now been moved to Ruaraka Grounds and not Utalii Grounds as earlier scheduled.
The two teams clash on Wednesday June 9 afternoon in what is potentially a cracker of a match but the latest development hasn’t gone well with the AFC Leopards hierarchy who feel that they have been shortchanged.
According to our source in the club, the game has been moved to Ruaraka because of the Sponsors (Betway) and broadcast partners (Mediamax).
“We were told that the broadcast partners and the Cup sponsors demanded for the match to be played at Ruaraka due to logistical issues,” TeamKenya was told.
“The Federation also felt that security at the Ruaraka Grounds is tighter that at Utalii hence the move, we can do nothing as per now but honour the fixture and make sure that we win it.”
Tusker booked a place in the last eight after beating Luanda Villa 1-0 on Saturday while AFC Leopards beat Bungoma Superstars 4-2 in Thika on Sunday.
The match to be played at 3:30pm will be preceded by that between Bandari and Equity Bank FC.
