
Uganda's Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among gave members of the national soccer team close to half a million ahead of the CHAN tournament.
The Speaker awarded each of the 40-man contingent Ksh12,350 ahead of their trip to Algeria.
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Moses Magogo delivered the package to the camp on Saturday, December 31.

The team will travel to Tunisia on Sunday, January 1, 2023, for another training camp.
During the team's visit to Tunisia, Uganda Cranes will have at least three friendly matches lined up.
Uganda will use the training camp to prepare for the forthcoming CHAN tournament in Algeria that commences on January 13, 2023.
Uganda's football federation president cautioned the players ahead of their CHAN tournament.
“You have people who believe in you. Imagine them watching you do wonders for this country.
“We are going for war, we are not going for a picnic, we are not going for a visit,”' FUFA President Moses Magogo stated.
Uganda will feature for the sixth time at the finals of CHAN having played at 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 editions.
