Ghanaian Leonard Myles-Mills holds the 60-metre African record at 6.45 seconds while United States’ Christian Cole holds the World Record at 6.34 seconds.

Omanyala is also the African 100-metre champion, having clocked 9.77 seconds on September 18, 2021.
