
Renowned rally driver Baldev Singh Chager has emerged victorious in the tenth edition of the East African Safari Classic Rally.
Baldev clocked 16:40:10.6 at the final stage on Friday, February 18, to conclude the nine-day tournament.
The highly decorated National Rally Champion has been on the lead in the tournament for the last eight days.

“I am happy to have won the rally. It was an amazing drive. I want to thank my crew and the sponsors for contributing to my success. This was a big boost as I prepare for the World Safari Rally in June,”Chager stated after winning the tournament.
Swedish driver Patrick Sandell finished second with a time of 16:47:54.5 ahead of legendary rally driver Ian Duncan who clocked a time of 17:12:12.4.
Chager was joined in the top ten list by fellow Kenyans like Lee Rose who finished fourth, Piers Daykin who finished fifth and Gavin Laurence who was ninth in the race.
The defending champion Kris Rosenberger from Australia finished the tournament in the seventh position with famous YouTuber Ken Block finishing 16th.
This year's edition was graced by 48 drivers who battled it out in the fierce terrain, with Chager making history with his remarkable lead consistency.
The East African Classic Safari is considered to be one of the toughest motorsport showpieces in the world.
