Inspector Mwala's Team Faces Off With Real Cops in Football Match

The cast of popular TV drama Inspector Mwala, faced off with police officers who were drawn from the Nakuru East region in a friendly match.

The match, played on Sunday at the ASK Showgrounds in Nakuru, ended 4-2 in favour of the real cops, who enjoyed a home advantage.

Among notable cast members from the TV Series who took part in the match were Samuel Odoyo, who goes by the stage name Morio, and Allan Namisi whose stage name is Muliro.

The actors came psyched up for the match, as narrated on the National Police Service’s social media platforms.

Nakuru East Police, however, repulsed all their attacks before pinning them down to a loss at their Nakuru backyard.

The event’s theme was “Managing work-related stress through football” with an intention of managing mental health within the police service.

Both sides used the match to share their experiences and work-related challenges.

It is not the first time the Inspector Mwala cast has collaborated on a project with the National Police Service.

In October last year, Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) boss George Kinoti made a guest appearance on the show.

He played his role in real life, making an impromptu visit at the “Kona Mbaya Police Station”.

“Junior Police Officers” disrespected him, only for their boss to apologize on their behalf after they realized who Kinoti was. Kinoti went on to inspect a guard of honour.
