
Everton celebrated a fan during their friendly, match against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv by giving him a chance to take a penalty kick.
Everton played a friendly vs. Dynamo Kyiv at Goodison Park in a “Match for Peace,” where they won with a 3-0 score line.
Paul Stratton is an Everton fan who has been aiding Ukrainian refugees amid Russia’s ongoing invasion of the country.

Stratton slotted the penalty kick past the keeper as the Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper made no movement. However, the goal didn’t count on the final scoresheet.
The 44-year-old council worker in Liverpool left for Poland in March 2022, with his brother to help take care of refugees fleeing from Ukraine.
He has been driving and delivering supplies to the refugees affected by the Russian invasion in Ukraine.
In the game, Everton also handed the captain's armband to defender Vitaliy Mykolenko.
Before the match, Mykolenko revealed that his father is part of a military unit in Ukraine.
“My father is in the military but in Kyiv. He is working in a military unit, but he is not going to the east of Ukraine. I am proud of him. I love them, my father, my mother,” the player noted.
