Lille removed striker Mohamed Bayo from its first-team squad and fined him Ksh8.9 million (75,000 Euros) for violation of the club policies.

According to AFP, the Guinea international was seen clubbing the night before their match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Lille - who played PSG on August 21 - suffered a 7-1 loss to PSG.

Bayo was not included in the team that was selected by head coach Paulo Fonseca who explained that his absence was due to disciplinary issues.

Bayo is among the new club signings. He joined Lille from Clermont at a fee of Ksh1.6 billion (14 million Euros) and penned a five-year deal.

He has so far featured for the club in the first two games as a starter without finding the back of the net.

The 24-year-old has been subjected to train with the second team, which plays in France's fifth tier.

“It is a lack of respect for the club, a lack of respect for the coaching staff and also our supporters.

“We were, along with the coach, very annoyed, even furious, about this behavior that for us is not tolerable,” the club president, Olivier Letang, stated.

The attacker has in the past been involved in another similar incident while at Clermont where he received a two-month suspension for driving while intoxicated and involuntary injuries.
