Gor Mahia have been directed by FIFA’s Dispute Resolution Chamber to pay their former goalkeeper Adama Keita Ksh1 million plus interest accrued over breach of contract.
The Malian goalkeeper had reported the club in July 2022, to the world football governing body for failing to pay his salary.
Gor acquired the services of the 31-year-old Malian goalkeeper from CI Kamsar of Guinea on a two-year deal in August 2021.

FIFA instructed K’Ogalo to make the full payment inclusive of all applicable interest to the bank account of the player.
K’Ogalo have been warned that they risk being slapped with more sanctions should they fail to pay the player within 45 days of notification.
Gor are currently serving a transfer ban after other players reported the club to FIFA due to unpaid dues.
“The Respondent shall be banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally, up until the due amount is paid. The maximum duration of the ban shall be of up to three entire and consecutive registration periods,” the statement read.
During a past interview by Gor Mahia’s Secretary General Sam Ocholla with TeamKenya.co.ke, the club was suffering financially during the pandemic noting that they would settle the money owed to the player.
Ocholla added that the club had made a grave mistake to sign the Malian goalkeeper.
“We are in the process of paying all of his dues before the end of this month (July)… This was the worst signing of a foreign player to Gor Mahia,” Ocholla stated earlier.
