Eliud Kipchoge, the world's fastest marathon runner, says that he is using technology to monitor his sugar levels as he trains for the upcoming Berlin Marathon.
Kipchoge through an interview with NN Running Team noted that his preparations have been going on well.
The 37-year-old marathon runner has been using the Abbots Libre Sense in his preparations for the Berlin Marathon.

“Abbots Libre Sense is a game changer. It has changed the way I'm treating and approaching a marathon. It has also changed the way I run the marathon on a running day. I started using Libre Sense two months prior to the Berlin Marathon.
"The reason is to actually monitor my glucose, how my body is reacting in training with enough glucose and to get data to help me to prepare for training. Now I can train without training too much because I am trying to get more energy through food as fuel,” Kipchoge highlighted.
With 26 days remaining until the big day, Kipchoge also noted that he plans to use the marathon to push his limit to a further level.
He highlighted that his preparations included loading, doing endurance long runs, endurance speed walk and tempo runs.
“The first part actually is, when I say loading and maybe endurance is that in long runs, we are concentrating on running for long. When we go to track for speed, then we are actually doing speed for a long time. We are doing long workouts.
“In the second part, we were doing long runs but a little bit fast. We are doing track sessions and tempo runs, a little bit shorter and faster. This is to prepare the muscles actually for the big day.
“When I think of Berlin, I am thinking of the flat course, I am thinking of the fastest course in the whole world. Berlin is the only place whereby a human being can show his or her own potential of pushing the limit, Kipchoge stated.
