Former Harambee Stars forward, Bonface Ambani, on Tuesday, January 3, recommended three actions Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ababu Namwamba should take to transform the industry in the country.
He advised Namwamba to set up structures that allow the taping of talents from the village level.
According to Ambani, who is among the leading goal-scorers in the history of the Kenya Premier League (KPL), Kenya has massive talents.

“I have gone around this nation, and believe me, we’ve massive talents. It only needs to be identified from the grassroots level.
"Nurtured from a good setup (structured), and exposed to the national and international levels,” stated Ambani.
The ex-AFC Leopards striker also urged Kenyans to rally behind Namwamba, and trust his process.
“Leaving a legacy behind is all we strive to make. Ababu Namwamba strives to turn things around as sports matters are concerned in this beloved nation.
“It’s not about football alone, it cuts across the sports sector in this nation. We only need to support and trust the process. I believe it shall happen,” ended Ambani.
Ambani is one of the most lethal strikers who ever emerged from the East African region.
He had stints with reigning KPL champions Tusker, Oserian Fastac, and Tanzanian heavyweights Yanga.
Ambani has also previously featured for Indian-based sides East Bengal and Sporting Clube de Boa.
