National Football League (NFL) side Seattle Seahawks used a popular Swahili phrase on Sunday, January 8, to thank their rivals Detroit Lions for helping them qualify for the playoffs.
For Seattle Hawks to proceed to the next round, they needed Detroit Lions to win their match against favorites Green Bay Packers.
Should the latter have beaten the former, Seahawks would have been knocked out of the tournament regardless of their performance against Los Angeles Rams.

However, Detroit Lions roared past the Packers, narrowly defeating them to ensure the Seahawks book a place in the playoffs.
Reacting after qualifying for the next round, Seahawks thanked the Lions for doing them a big favor.
They did so using a famous Kenyan phrase that is mostly used to welcome tourists.
“Hakuna Matata (No worries) @Lions,” read a statement from the Seattle Seahawks.
Speaking after their win over the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks manager Pete Carroll stated that they would give their best shot at the upcoming playoffs.
"It's really been a terrific year. We just weren't able to quite feel it, and so we needed to win a couple of games here at the end, needed to get to the playoffs, and now let's go and let things go the way they can, and we're going to have some fun with this.
"I mean, I've been around a bunch of teams, and this is exactly the mentality that we need moving forward to do some great stuff," he ended.
The Seattle Seahawks are scheduled to play the 49ers in the playoffs on Saturday, January 14.
