Sevilla FC Makes Major Announcement on Isco’s Future

Sevilla FC announced on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 that the club had released Spanish midfielder Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez who is popularly known as Isco. 

Sevilla FC revealed that they reached a mutual agreement with Isco who could be on his way to the Premier League. 

Isco signed for the club in August 2022 from Spanish giants Real Madrid where he struggled to get game time.

However, less than five months after penning a deal with Sevilla, Isco is without a club.

 While making the announcement, Sevilla wished Isco the best of luck in his future endeavors.

“Sevilla FC has reached an agreement with Isco Alarcón to terminate his contract. The midfielder joined the club last summer on a free after his spell at Real Madrid.

“Isco made 19 appearances for Sevilla FC, with 12 in LaLiga Santander, six in the UEFA Champions League, and one in the Copa del Rey.

“His solitary goal came against FC Copenhagen, while he also added three assists.

 “The club would like to wish Isco the very best of luck for the future,” read part of the statement from the Spanish club.

The 30-year-old spent nine years at Real Madrid where he was able to win many trophies including five UEFA Champions Leagues and three La Liga titles.

Some of the other top clubs that the creative midfielder has previously featured for include Malaga and Valencia.
