"There was a small and peaceful protest outside the Carrington training ground today.

"We respect the opinions of fans and remain committed to strengthening our engagement with them,” Man United spokesperson noted.

The Manchester United manager noted that he understands why the fans were demonstrating.

"We all know football is a game of passion and emotions, I think we can all understand, I can understand, that our supporters are disappointed both with our standing in the table and the performance we showed against Everton, at least after we conceded that first goal,” Ralf Rangnick noted.

The interim manager praised the fans as the best in the country and urged them to continue giving the team support in the upcoming matches.

"But I still believe our supporters are one of the best, if not the best, in England and as long as they do that protest in a peaceful way, and as long as they still support the team in the stadium, I think they have a right to express their opinion," he added.

Manchester United will be playing Norwich in a Premier League match on Saturday, April 16, as they seek to bounce back from a poor run of games.
