Harambee Stars defender Joash Onyango will have a reason to smile after Tanzanian side Simba Sports Club parted ways with Serbian tactician Zoran Maki on September 6, 2022.
Onyango and Maki were not seeing eye to eye after the latter dropped the Kenyan defender and replaced him with Mohamed Outtara, who was signed recently from Al Hilal.
The 28-year-old was unhappy with Maki’s decision to drop him from the starting line up to the point that he refused to travel with the club to Sudan where they were scheduled to play a couple of friendly matches a few weeks ago.

The club also disclosed that assistant tactician Selemani Matolla will be in charge of the club as they look for Maki’s replacement.
