The Football Kenya federation has postponed two fixtures after an order from the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT).

This follows an injunction by the SDT on Wednesday, November 16, which prohibited the FKF from commencing the national leagues over a pending case filed by Kona Rangers and Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet.

In a letter sent to the FKF Premier League Club chairpersons, the round one fixtures of Posta Rangers FC vs Mathare United FC and Vihiga Bullets vs Wazito FC will not be played as scheduled.

“Further, please be advised that all other FKF PL matches which have not been affected by the order will take place as scheduled,” part of the letter read.

The 2021/2022 national leagues were declared null and void on Wednesday, November 9, as the FKF announced no promotion or relegation would be taking place.

Both APS Bomet and Kona Rangers bagged the 2021/2022 National Super League and Division One League.

The two clubs filed a case seeking to reverse the FKF National Executive Committee (NEC) to quash the 2021/2022 season.

Kenya is currently serving a suspension from FIFA owing to government interference after former Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed removed the FKF Secretariat in November 2021.

The suspension is expected to be lifted after the new Sports CS Ababu Namwamba reinstated the FKF Secretariate in accordance with FIFA’s demands.

The 2022/2023 FKF Premier League season will kick off on Saturday, November 19, with Tusker facing Kakamega Homeboyz at the Bukhungu Stadium.
