Record 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal expressed his delight after finding out that his rival Novak Djokovic would take part in the Australian Open.
Djokovic missed the 2022 edition after he was banned from Australia for refusing to take a Covid-19 vaccination.
Nadal noted that the return of Djokovic at the Australia Open was not only good for the sport but also for the fans.

The previous tournament was worn by the Spaniard who defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev.
Australia lifted the requirement for visitors to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination thus allowing Djokovic to return.
Djokovic is a nine times winner of the Australian Open. The Australian Open will begin on January 16, 2023, and end on January 29, 2023.
The Serbian tennis player will begin his Australian tour with the Adelaide tournament on January 2, 2023.
As for Nadal, his Australian tour will commence at the United Cup on Thursday, December 29 in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
Nadal also revealed the past few months were difficult following an abdominal tear.
The 36-year-old tennis star also denied retirement talks- affirming that his future in tennis is still unknown.
